Aristea Koukiadaki is Professor of Labour Law and Industrial Relations at the Department of Law, School of Social Sciences, University of Manchester. Her research focuses on the empirical study of law and on applied legal and policy analysis, with particular reference to labour law, industrial relations and EU social policy. Her work has been funded by a number of organisations, including the Economic and Social Research Council, the European Commission, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions and the Leverhulme Trust. She has carried out contract work for the European Parliament, the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the Global Players’ Union (FifPro). Her most recent publications draw, among others, on an ETUI-led project on enforcement of EU labour law and an EC-funded project on precarious work and social dialogue.
