Professor Hazel Conley

Professional Role: Professor of Human Resource Management, University of the West of England

Hazel has written extensively on discrimination and inequality in the workplace, particularly in relation to the development and effectiveness of legal interventions. She has also undertaken critical research on the concepts of multiple discrimination and intersectionality, focussing recently on the impact of the economic crisis, austerity, ‘Brexit’ and the Covid 19 pandemic.

As Co-Investigator Hazel is leading the literature review and is contributing to all aspects of project design, dissemination and outputs. She brings her particular expertise in developing theory and framing analysis to the project.
